One Day in History is a nation-wide attempt to capture an ordinary day.
The day chosen is today – Tuesday 17th October 2006.
This exercise is a continuation of the ‘Mass-Observation’ movement that started in the 1930s. The difference now is that we can record our impressions of life in Britain today in the form of an online blog entry.
Everyone is encouraged to submit an entry, and all the data collected will be archived at the British Library.
