Closing down BAC?

Here’s my email to David Cameron:

Dear Mr Cameron,

In your speech in May last year, said that “it’s time we focused not just on GDP, but on GWB – General Well-Being”. You went on to correctly identify that amongst other things this was about “the quality of our culture”. As a former Conservative but recently Liberal voter, I was very interested in this as it is a viewpoint which I share. Unfortunately it doesn’t appear to be shared by Wandsworth Council who are making the survival of one our country’s most innovative and exciting arts institutions, BAC impossible. In the interest of our national GWB, please could you do everything in your power to cure them of their GDP-focused myopia and keep BAC alive.

Yours faithfully,
Ed Porteous.

    Dear Ed,

Many thanks for your email to David Cameron – I’m replying on his

Thank you for drawing our attention to this matter – we do take on board
what you have to say. However, your local council has been
democratically elected and you should take this matter up with them as
David Cameron cannot interfere with local decision making.

    Yours sincerely,
