Katie hasn’t had a good night’s sleep since the baby was born. Last night it had started to become a real problem (how long can a body exist without proper sleep? I long time I guess, but it doesn’t do it any good). We decided to try a different strategy. Baby would be fed until completely topped up, then I would have her next door, and make a covenant not to bring her back for two whole hours.
The first session was tough because of serious wind, and I eventually took her out for a 1am walk along the road. She only got as far as waking up about 20 doors before she was out for the count.
The next two sessions were better and Katie has now had a whole seven hours sleep. Horray.
